THE SYFY CHANNEL (formerly the Sci-Fi Channel) will produce a long-awaited adaption of Stephen King’s 1987 novel, ‘The Eyes of the Dragon.’  This project is said to have been greenlighted and inspired by the tone and style of HBO’s popular Game of Thrones.  One of King’s non horror efforts, Dragon concerns a kingdom in turmoil.  The old king has died and his successor must battle for the throne. Pitted against an evil wizard and a would-be rival, a Prince named Peter makes his escape, and rallies the forces of good to fight for what is rightfully his. … JAMES CAMERON recently gave an interview indicating the he is now officially “in the Avatar business.”  He has disbanded the development arm of his Lightstorm company and is now only tasking at writing and producing and directing Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, and surprisingly admitted he is also planning Avatar 4.  He also commented that his company has been actively setting up production at his newly christened New Zealand studios … AN AUDIO CLIP PROMOTING RIDLEY SCOTT’S PROMETHEUS has gone viral.  Warning: this is a somewhat disturbing audio clip: AND JOHN CLISHAM, a former employee of Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment, will helm an as of yet untitled movie about Dinosaurs set loose on Manhattan Island for Warner Bros.  No release date has been set. … CONCEPT ART FOR DAVID (Videodrome, The Dead Zone, The End of Violence) CRONENBERG’S abandoned, circa1980’s version of Total Recall went up on the net recently:
